instax 90 + instax printer mini review + cute & cool polaroid accessories for all fujifilm instax camera (links prov.)

Happy Wednesday everybody! You may or may not have noticed, but I totally revamped my blog~ I'm hoping to do more blog stuff, so I thought a new blog layout was the perfect way to start again. Today's post is something really exciting imo~ I'm going to be talking a bit about the instax mini 90 vs the instax printer. They both have a pretty heavy price tagヾ(;゚Д゚;)シ so maybe this post will help you guys decide if you really want it or not. In addition to a mini review I will also be talking about cute and cool polaroid accessories that will make your polaroid experience hopefully better. There are a lot of accessories out there, so I will only be talking about some of my favorites or things I think are pretty awesome. This probably will be a long post so I will try to make it simple as possible. The links I provide are gonna be from amazon (will have prime available links) and ebay. I did a bit of research so I will be linking the lowest prices you can find and I will also have two links for ebay for worldwide and within the U.S just incase you can't wait 2~3 weeks for your items to arrive even though the price is a lot cheaper (note: if the price of the U.S one is ridiculous I will not include). One last thing!! If you guys plan on purchasing anything I suggest you sign up for ebates! It's legit and easy to use~ you get cash back when you shop! I've gotten a good amount of cashback, because of this website..I mean it's legit and free so might as well? They have a lot of popular sites on there that you can get cashback from, check it out. (click here and use my referral link!) Okay so on to the post (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Here is the instax mini 90 and the instax smartphone printer. They're both pretty slim/flat in size, the mini 90 being slightly less bulkier. I bought my printer awhile ago and i've been saving up for it like crazy! I'm so glad it's slowly going down in price. The instax mini 90 was a birthday gift from one of my best friends, Vy..who needs to stop showering me with so much love (*´∀`*) I hate her so much (just kidding).

A strap, battery pack (I don't know technical terms, but it's like a rectangle battery), and battery charger is included when you buy the mini 90. When you buy the printer all you get is the battery (cylinder ones) and the printer. You can't really expect much since it's a printer. I found out that you can buy a charger for it as well. It's quite inexpensive so that's pretty great. The battery is supposed to apparently last 100 prints, but it didn't even last that long! Maybe I got bad batteries, but you don't know how much I was freaking out when it wouldn't turn on bc I barely hit the 50 mark I think! It does not warn you when it needs new batteries or anything so that's why I was panicking and looked into ordering a charger (using 2 day shipping). I had no time to look for batteries or to wait for batteries to come home, bless amazon prime for coming in clutch. Thank goodness I found out it was just the battery and not my printer that was being dumb. So don't freak out if you haven't printed 100 polaroids yet...it's probably the battery, not the machine. Amazon (wire)Amazon (wire+wall plug), and Ebay (wire).

The instax printer uses the app instax share to assist with your printing. There are a few editing options in the app such as zoom, filters, adding the date/caption, and frames..but they're quite basic. Filters are kinda meh (I use b&w, but that's it) and all you can do is zoom..no cropping or anything. Mini 90 has two buttons for you to take the picture. Unlike with the mini 80 you don't push your lens in to close it. You just click the switch. With the mini 90 there are soooo many options when taking pictures. You can do double exposure (overlapping two pics), light pictures, multiple shots in one pic etc. There are so many options with this camera it's amazing and a bit overwhelming. I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm loving it so far. Here is a pic I took during the little mermaid ride!!! It actually came out really nice~~ I changed it to "party mode" (I think that's what its called) and it looks like I had really great lighting taking this picture, but in reality it was dark! It doesn't look over exposed either like how some pics come out when using flash on your phone and stuff. The 2nd picture is me attempting double exposure!!! They don't look that great since i'm still learning, but it was so fun to take. The first pic was my cousin+string lights that were on, my cousin+the pool, and my cousin+palm trees.

All in all I think the printer and camera are both really amazing and definitely a step up from the other models. Do I think you need the mini if you have the mini 80? Ehhh not really. Yes it has more capabilities, but if you don't have the money to buy this camera I say stick to what you have. The difference with this and the 80 is that it's slimmer in size and has more photography options. If you don't really have the cash to spend on the 90 and all you do is take photos of your friends and stuff, I say skip. If you don't think you're gonna use the options that much, it really isn't worth having another camera or splurging imo. Especially since it might be confusing for people to use with the options they have. I'm still learning how to use all the options, even normal settings for regular pictures..so it might not be for everyone..especially if you don't want a bunch of messed up film Σ(;・益・;;;)!!! If you just want to shoot a picture and be done with it I think the mini 80 is your go to. If you do want the upgrade and you think the mini 80 is bulky/heavy for you I suggest selling your camera to buy this one. For the printer it's hard to say. I guess it all depends if you want to shell out the money for it. I think it's pretty awesome, because you can print old pictures and your photos will 99% of the time come out perfect since you see it before printing. You don't have to pay for ink either since it's exactly like the camera. You also don't have to worry about carrying it around and either A. drop it and ruin it or B. the extra weight you have to carry. Sometime I feel like it's kind of a hassle to carry it around and take the pictures compared to quickly snapping it on your phone. The only thing you're missing out on is the feeling of actually taking the picture with the camera. It's kinda hard to explain, but sometimes I do wish I could take certain pictures at that moment instead with the actual polaroid...like wow I took that..it came out perfect on the polaroid...one shot...gah sorry if I don't make sense (。•́︿•̀。).... Again at the end of the day it's all up to you how much you want to spend on it. I think they're both great! mini 90 (amazon)mini 90 (ebay)printer w/ charger (same price as one w/o charger [amazon]), and printer (ebay)

Scrapbooks are my favorite ways to store my polaroids. Smash book is probably one of my favorite scrapbooks out there. It's easy to store...because of the size (it's not bulky and big like a lot of other scrapbooks), it's and the pages come with cool patterns etc (all depends on the style you buy) instead of boring paper. It's a lot more fun than those boring photo albums. They sell them at Michaels and Hobby lobby..which both places usually always have a 20-40% off coupon if you go on their websites (side note: you can buy film at michaels and use their coupon if you can't buy online..not sure if hobby lobby has film). Scrapbook (amazon) and Scrapbook kit (amazon).

Moving on to frames (ง ˃̶͈̀ᗨ˂̶͈́)۶ there are a lot of them on ebay and amazon, but I want to give these great glittery ones from Urban outfitters some love. I think they're super quirky and different from normal frames. I haven't seen these around a lot, so I wanted to share my amazing find. They are quite affordable for something that's from urban outfitters! Not only are they cool to have, but I think they are great small gifts to friends and family. Just stick your favorite polaroid of you and your friend/family member in it (one that has a great memory like going to a concert together etc. would be even better) and give it as what I call a "stocking stuffer" gift aka a small gift to go with the main gifts.
wide, normal, and monogram ☆ヾ(*´▽`)ノ

If you're not feeling string lights when wanting to hang up your polaroids you can use this (ebay) wide ver. (ebay). Having these will make sure your polaroids are straight and will stay on (without the use of tape). There are also mobiles (amazon) ebay, and other rad things 1 (amazon), 2 (urban outfitters), 3 (urban outfitters), and 4 (target).

Patterned film is something that is well known when you think about polaroid film, but sadly that is not the case for these polaroid sticker frames. They are the same thing as the patterned frames, but they're more affordable! I was a bit skeptical when I saw them online, but they're incredible. Yes it takes a bit of time to stick them on v.s them already being there, but patterned frames can be quite pricey so I think these are a better option. They have sooo many patterns it's awesome. Here are a few of my favorite favorite sellers/patterns. Amazon 1Amazon 2, Amazon 3Ebay 1Ebay 2Ebay 3, Ebay 4, Ebay 5,and Ebay 6. (Note: if you are into getting patterned film bc you really do like certain patterns you can't find in sticker form then I would buy in bundle on amazon/ebay bc it's cheaper!! Ebay has a lot more variety for sometimes better prices lmk if you need help finding some).

Stickers are a great and cheap way to decorate your film. Especially these fun polaroid stickers! They're so freakin cheap! You can use these stickers anywhere else too. Sometimes I want to write things on polaroids as well and having some of these stickers will help me write on them without it being smudged or on there forever. I only own a couple of sticker sets, but I can't wait to get more. Can you believe I got 8 sticker sheets for 99 cents?! The quality and the print of it is on point as well! I'm going to link them down below with another set i'm planning on buying as well. I suggest browsing the "people who viewed this item also viewed" to find more stickers hehe.1 (ebay)2 (ebay), 3 (ebay), and 4 U.S (ebay).

Here are also links to other cool things you can get
  1. Lens (made for 7s-8s): 4 colored lenses (ebay amazon), selfie lens  (normal [ebay], bunny [ebay], hello kitty+camera [ebay], and hearts w/ wings [ebay]. Amazon links are all over the place and would take forever to find all the colors, so I will not be listing them (sorry).
  2.  Pens: These are recommended for polaroids..you can even do nail art with them and write on glass! 5 colors ([ebay] [amazon]), 7 colors ([ebay] [amazon]), and 10 colors ([ebay] [amazon])
  3. cases/purses: amazon - normalcute doodlestransparent w/ rainbow strap2 "pockets" pursebow purse"vintage/retro" purseflowers or polka dots2 tone or plant 2 "pockets" purse
There are so many things I want to share with you all, but honestly it would be way too much to talk about. I was a bit nervous about this post, because there was so much info I wanted to write about, but I didn't want it to be too long...*。ヾ(。>v<。)*。I hope you do enjoy what I was able to share with you. Let me know what you think about this post or if you were interested in buying anything I posted about! If you have any additional questions don't hesitate to ask (ෆˊ͈ ु꒳ ूˋ͈ෆ)
